I saw the Townsend Solitaire at 7:30 this morning in it's usual tree. a woman walking two dogs through the passageway flushed it and it flew to the top of one of the very tall trees on the camous at the northwest corner, near the intersection of Rosehill and Couch.

It woudl move around in those tall trees and get lost among the starlings but it didn't act like it was going anywhere soon.

>Hi everyone,
>
>We went up to Meramec between 8:30 and 9:45. Many birders looking, but no Townsend's spotted. Anne McCormack came up to see if anyone had seen the bird - she said the winds had been pretty wicked at 5 am when the sirens went off. If anyone has seen the bird since then, please post! There are still birders who haven't been as lucky as the rest of us! Some plan to return around 4.
