The Webster Groves Nature Study Society is offering the following bird walks
in the St. Louis area. All our field trips are free and open to the public.

Tomorrow, Dec. 29, Jackie Chain will lead our weekly Thursday walk. Meet at
8:30 a.m. at Des Peres Park, which is located on Ballas Road one block
north of Manchester. Turn right (east) at the park sign, then park in the
first lot on the right. (The Thursday Group goes out every Thursday and the
regular meeting time and location is always 8:30 a.m. at Des Peres Park.)

Start the New Year off right with lots of birding. WGNSS will sponsor 3
weekend walks in January:

Sat. Jan. 14. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the St. Louis County Library
Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh, in the parking lot on the north side.
David Becher will be the leader.

Sat. Jan. 28. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at Teal Pond, Riverlands. David Becher
will be the leader.

Sun. Jan. 29. Bill Rowe will lead a walk at Carlyle Lake. Meet at 8:00
a.m. at the McDonald's in Carlyle, IL. This will be an all-day outing, with
a lunch stop at a local restaurant.

Good birding in 2006!
