Paul McKenzie just called. The redpoll is being observed NOW.

It was not seen after 11 a.m. yesterday.

Information and directions follow:

The adult female Common Redpoll was observed 3 times yesterday at the
home of Paul and Becky McKenzie, 2311 Grandview Dr., Columbia, MO 65203,
(573) 445-3019.

Call first to see if someone is home. Best viewing is from INSIDE
house. If no one is home, go carefully into the backyard and sit/stand
very still. Birds are skittish--accipiter in area.

Bird has been seen on the ground under the feeder array, and on at least
two of the small hanging platform-style feeders. It appears with mixed
finch flock.

DIRECTIONS:

From I-70 take the Stadium Blvd. exit (EXIT #124). Go south on Stadium
to BROADWAY.
Go right (west) on Broadway.

When Broadway goes up a big hill and turns south you will believe you're
on the same road but the name will have changed to SCOTT BLVD.

Go south on Scott Blvd. Chapel Hill will T onto Scott on your left.
The next right is GILLESPIE BRIDGE RD.

Turn right (west) onto Gillespie Bridge Rd. The first left is Mesa.
The second left is KENDALLWOOD. Turn left onto Kendallwood.

It is a VERY SHORT block (200 feet or so) to GRANDVIEW CIRCLE on your
left. Turn left onto Grandview Cir. The Mckenzie home is the second on
the right, a yellow house with white mailbox and a dirtpile on the
driveway.
