Lanny Chambers captured the errant hummingbird this morning and definitely ID'd it as a female juvenile Rufous. He banded it and released it. Those wishing to see the bird should come to the home of Clinton and Jeannie Roberts at 502 W. Columbia Street in Farmington. They are members of East Ozarks Audubon. You may park in the circular drive rather than the busy and narrow street. Enter the yard through a large white picket fence door. You will see a porch ahead. About 15 feet from the porch the feeder is hanging in a large white pine tree. Lanny says he will post pictures later today. Good birding.
