Hi everyone,

This morning, about 5:40, I let the dog out in back. She loves snow, and started to wander, so I followed her. Saw a larger bird fly up from the swampy area, and it was a beautiful Barred Owl. He wasn't really bothered by us, and was intently watching for prey. The bird stayed about 10 more minutes. I don't think we've seen/heard Barred owls since spring.

Sunday morning, we heard the resident Great Horned Owl pair, from 3:30 - 5:30 am. Saw them in the evening, around 5' ish, silhouetted in a tree to the southeast.

Yesterday, both a male and a female Hairy WP at the suet.
