Josh Uffman just called.
He was observing the Short-billed dowitcher in Sandy slough (take the gravel 
road - Sandy Slough road- from the entrance to the Winfield Dam observation 
area/park) when a falcon came whizzing by.
It was a PRAIRIE FALCON - saw the dirty axillaries and all - and landed 
about 200 yards from him.
He is taking pictures of it as I type.
Go down Sandy Slough road until it opens up and you start seeing the 
mudflats.
