Missouri Birders:

An unidentified hummingbird is coming to a feeder at a house near Shell Knob
(in far southwestern Missouri). The homeowners are willing to have birders
come view the bird, but by appointment only.

Due to the location of the feeder on a deck, the only view of the bird is
from inside the house. If you are interested in viewing the bird, please
contact Jan and Howard Williford at (417) 858-2672 for the address and
directions.

The bird is coming regularly to the feeder every 10-15 minutes throughout
the day. I will make an attempt to capture, band, and identify the bird on
Sunday (the soonest I can get to the area). Meanwhile, I would welcome
suggestions on what species the bird is.

Please contact the Williford's directly for an appointment, not me.

Good birding!
