Joe Eades called at 11:30 a.m. to report two SNOW BUNTINGS at the
boat-launch parking lot at Bilby Ranch Lake CA (Nodaway Co.). On the
way out of Bilby Ranch, at the top of the hill, Joe found one
juvenile NORTHERN SHRIKE.

Just south of Bilby Ranch on Hwy DD (west of Skidmore), he found an
adult NORTHERN SHRIKE in a line of trees near the highway. He said it
was acting as if on winter territory. (There has been a Northern
Shrike there in at least two recent winters, to my recollection.)
