MoBirders,
Cold breezes and clouds and rain brought a smile to my heart as I birded REDA Friday afternoon: REDA awakens and the best time of year is imminent.

Had Tennessee Warbler and Orange-crowned among the sparrow at the turn to the dam. Several raptors: male and female northern harrier, cooper's hawk, kestral, red-tailed, peregrine. Flocks of flyover birds(min 400) cormorants, pelicans. Large flock of cowbirds, red-wings.

Gulls: increase in herring, 17 bonaparte's, 2 franklin's
3 Horned grebes (up from 1 the other day) in Ellis Bay.

Had scaup at Winfield at lunchtime.
