Columbia Audubon is sponsoring a field trip to Bradford Farm, east side of
Columbia, on Saturday, October 22, 8:00a until noon. This is part of the
monthly bird survey process; trip leader is Brad Jacobs. Sparrows (we would
definitely expect LeConte's Sparrow at this time of year), raptors and
perhaps early Short-eared Owls. There is a great deal of walking, sometimes
through tall native grasses.

Meet in the parking area near the metal machine buildings at this UMC
property off of Rangeline Road. To reach this property, travel east on New
Haven Road from its intersection with Highway 63. New Haven dead ends at
Rangeline Road -- turn right (south) onto Rangeline Road and travel about
one mile to the entrance for Bradford Farm (signage and big white farm house
marks the entrance). Follow the gravel road to the machine/storage building
areas.
