Morning started off very foggy and cool but soon cleared up with the rising sun and the birds were everywhere, great morning to be birding. Lane Springs is located 9 miles south of Rolla on Hwy 63, it is located on the Little Piney Creek. It is a combination of fields, large gravel pit lakes, many springs and one spring fed lake, wetlands, upland and bottomland forest, all bordering the Little Piney.
