I spent about an hour with the owl tape in 4 locations at Burr Oak today and brought in more birds than I did in two hours Saturday. The migration appears to be picking up, although it is still not very impressive. Migrants included:

5-6 Wilson's Warblers
2 Canada Warblers
3 Black-and-white warblers
1 Chestnut-sided Warbler
1 Tennessee Warbler
1 Oven Bird
1 Nashville Warbler
1 Philadelphia Vireo
1 Least Flycatcher
1 Traill's complex empid.
2 unidentified empids.

The owl tape worked very well between 11:00 a.m. and noon, bringing in lots of residents and breeders in addition to the migrants. It stopped generating excitement after noon, so I left.
