we went to Eagle Bluffs today, mid-day, not the best time of the day. They must have spread new gravel, it was very DUSTY!! We went directly to the carwash on the way home. Water was up, shorebirds were absent.

Best bird of the day: broadwing hawk circling with turkey vultures.

Otherwise, we saw the usual:

great egrets - number down a lot
great blue herons
snowy egret - 5
green heron - 1
swallow - flocking on the electric line and in a dead tree
Canada geese - quite a few
greylag goose - 1, must have been there most of the summer. I've seen it off and on.
wood ducks

That's about it.

Harold and Kathleen Anderson, Columbia
