Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, south of Columbia, Boone Co.

Today, Sunday, the feeding flock was just off the southeast corner of
the Devil's Ice Box parking lot at 4:30 this afternoon. Species of
today not seen yesterday included Nashville Warbler, American Redstart,
and an adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

The Sinkhole Trail was very quiet.

Along the eastern loop of the Grasslands trail birds included a covey of
Northern Bobwhite, a Pileated Woodpecker and a female/juvenile
Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

It was encouraging to see two hummers making an honest living.

As Jackie Chain noted in her report, the Indigo Buntings were
conspicuous in their absence at Rock Bridge, too. [I like that
phrase--makes as much sense as "found missing."
