ďGender Trouble in German/auf Deutsch.Ē
 
Papers are sought that deal with German, Swiss and Austrian inflections and
representations of Butlerís gender troubles. What troubles does German have, can
German-speakers make of gender, and how are  parallel issues of race, class and
disability impacted by such debates? Papers from areas as wide-ranging as film
(Monika Treutís films) and detective fiction (Gabriele Gelienís detective
novels) are welcome.

Please send 150-200 word abstracts and a brief CV by the deadline of November 1,
2005.  
Electronic submissions are welcome and preferred.
