Got just enough water over the wknd back in the wetlands to cover up the mudflats so no shorebirds today. There were about 60 BW Teal and a few Mallards and Woodies. About same # of Great Egrets and Great Blues as last week. Kicked up a couple of Soras. Heard Sedge Wrens and Bobolinks and Bell's Vireos were singing louder and more often than the other day. Actually think one was still learning to sing as his song was quite different. The immature Red-shouldered Hawk was hollering for someone to come and feed it! Saw a Coopers perched while I was trying to locate the RSHA. Saw one Nashville Warbler, plus Yellow and Common Yellow-throats. Watched an Olive-sided flycatcher hunt from dead trees south of the corner along dirt road.

Later, Steve Kinder, Chillicothe
