There was hummingbird banding going on at the Visitor Center at Onondaga State Park yesterday which was fascinating. They apparently due them monthly May through Sept. Check out the state park website for the date in Sept. The gentleman doing the banding (I've forgotten his name of course) was the person who banded the Black-Chinned hummer in Farmington this past Nov.

Also, if you're looking just to see ruby throated hummers the feeders and surrounding area at the Visitor Center was swarming with them. I've never seen so many at one time. It was really incredible.
