On Thursday, August 4, I observed six (6) Least Terns at the swimming/boat launch area of Lake Contrary, Saint Joseph. Other terns seen were Black Tern (15), Forster's Tern (10) and one (1) Common Tern. Various shorebirds continue to frequent this area as well as the perimeter of Muskrat Lake, which is just a little south of Lake Contrary.

Later Jack Hilsabeck arrived at Lake Contrary to find seven (7) Least Terns as well as the other terns, with a possibility of two (2) Caspian Terns also being in the area.
