Mr. Mittleman,

I'm not a Rail hunter. I expect those who are were raised in a family
where rail hunting was taught and experienced. Tromping thru the reeds
may be of great fun to Rail hunters. I know that Teal hunting can be
great fun. The stalk, flush & difficulty of the shot contribute (or
detract) from the "experience"

I'm willing to bet that Rail hunters pack in plenty of Deet!

I know Bull/Green Frog hunters enjoy wet/muddy tromps.

Regarding not having seen a "stuffed Rail"...most hunters do not trophy
hunt. It's certainly not why I hunt.

I’m going to suggest that since Rail are
1) not hunted much here in Missouri.
2) not a "put 'er up on the mantle honey"/"trophy" type critter.

You may never see a “stuffed Rail” (unless you count the birds shot/taken
by museums or other "collectors".

Enjoy your weekend!!
