FINALLY saw the Katy Trail/Weldon Springs CA, St. Charles co PAINTED BUNTING 
after a very long period of not seeing it despite multiple visits.
I re-found it *singing* (know that song!) in the front corner of the 
Sunflower field on the right side (Defiance direction) just past the slough.
It sang and sang, I finally found where it was, got to look at it for MAYBE 
30 seconds or so and then it plummeted into the stand of sunflowers and 
stayed completely silent.
Looked very brilliant with maybe fresh plumage (??....Don't know their 
molting sequence)
On it's second round of breeding?
