Tonight around 7pm there were two adulte black-crowned night-herons in the
pond at Brentwood Forest (Brentwood, St. Louis County), as well as a
juvenile little blue heron (absent when I drove past on my way home), and a
green heron.

Phil Wire, Jeff Wright and I looked for the painted bunting at Weldon Spring
with no success this morning, though I did spot a yellow-throated vireo.
Lost Valley Trail was not too birdy, but we had good looks at Louisiana
waterthrush, a female orchard oriole, and fleeting glimpses of a Kentucky
warbler.
