I was surprised to find a good number of shorebirds this morning at the wetlands. One good thing about the low water levels from the draw down is some good shorebird habitat. The flock of Pelicans was still there as well as the other birds sen recently. I did also hear a Marsh Wren singing from the cattails.Saw a wooduck with a brood of a dozen pretty small ducklings- would not want to bet on there survival chances with such shallow water. Shorebirds seen today:

Willet - 10
SB Dowitcher - 1
Solitary Sandpiper - 1
Pectoral SP - 25
Least SP- a few
Lesser Yellowlegs - 100+
Greater Yellowlegs - a few
Killdeer - several

 Later, Steve Kinder, Chillicothe
