In addition to the other birds reported from the Katy Trail access area, we
had a Black-billed Cuckoo there this morning. Take the road to the launch
ramp and walk out the last right hand road (marked for authorized vehicles
only). After the white electrical station at the end of this latter road,
walk about 1/2 way to the next white electrical station. The Cuckoo was
seen over the levee at about this point.

This is the area where many Lark Sparrows and Blue Grosbeaks were seen this
morning. We dipped on the sparrows, but got the grosbeaks. Went back to
the Blue Grosbeak trail later, but still have not seen these namesakes
there.
