Hi all,
Just returned from Palmetto area east of Springfield after a brief
attempt to find Bobolinks. None found, but other species of interest
included:

3 Swainson's Hawks
1 Northern Harrier
3 American Golden Plovers
4 Horned Larks
lots of
Dickcissels
ST Flycatchers
E. Kingbirds

For those interested, all of the species mentioned were found in a 1-2
mile stretch of road from the intersection of Hwy 125 and FR 166 to just
north of the FR166 and FR241 intersection. Plovers, Harrier, Swainson's
Hawks, and Horned Larks were found in and/or flying over a newly plowed
field just north of the RR tracks on FR 241.
Good Birding,
Greg Swick
Ozark, Missouri
