Could not resist the temptation of the Virginia Rail and went out this evening. Still in the ditch between Ellis Bay and Pintail Marsh as reported. Watched it between 5:50p.m. and 6:30p.m. It sometimes went back to the vegetation but would come back into the water after a few minutes. Once got flushed into the water by a bunny. 2 Soras there as well as reported earlier.

Heron pond still had many shorebirds including 4 Avocet and 5 Wilson's Phalaropes.

The problem with going out there after work, so many birds and so little time.
