That reminds me (I meant to post yesterday, but phones were ringing, etc.,
when I got into the office) that I saw 2 Solitary Sandpipers yesterday
morning in Forest Park on the little islands next to the wooden bridges on
the east side of the park. There was also a Northern Waterthrush.

Unfortunately, the group of people that routinely let their dogs run loose
between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. came by and the dogs chased the the birds
off.

There was a Killdeer nest in the grassy area between the pond with the
fountain and the Victorian footbridge, but I noticed yesterday that the
area had been mowed.

Lagoons along Lagoon Dr:

all 5 species of small swallow

Sunday, while walking along the waterway, I found 4 Killdeer chicks with
their nervous parents and a Solitary Sandpiper.
