There are now TWO Peregrines working the Eagle Bluffs area. Three of us
watched them get in a little tussle over the cormorant trees (or was it
courting? sometimes hard to tell). They were also cruising the distribution
channel and Pool 4.

When I first arrived (around 5:45p) there was very little in Pool 4, but the
Willet was in almost the same spot as last night - up against the grass
levee on the bluff side of parking lot for Pool 4. Most of the shorebirds
seemed to be in the far reaches of the distribution channel - all up and
down the channel. There were also many shorebirds swirling in Pool 11 and
then disappearing in the muddy clumps. Had a flock of dowitchers, and 90%
of the rest were Yellowlegs and Pecs. When I returned to a spot to show
Allen the Dowitchers, they were no longer there but 8 Willets fluttered down
into the scope view!

I returned to Pool 4 around 7p, and it was now full of birds - again mostly
yellowlegs and pecs, and two Wilson's Phalaropes. The falcon made a pass
which scattered many. Don't know if these were new birds or just ones
scattered by the falcon from other areas.
