Tommie:
  Congratulations on your Reeve; too bad it didn't stay around. I can
remember the excitement when Wally George (Cedar Hill, Mo.), and I reported
the first Reeve for Missouri at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge on 28
April 1962 (1963. WILSON BULL. 75:  274-75).  I also note your S.-b.
Dowitcher observation. The previous early date for the S.-b. Dowitcher in
Missouri is April 27th (Robbins and Easterla, 1992. BIRDS OF MISSOURI, p.
146).  The S.-b. Dowitcher is a later migrant than the L.-b. Dowitcher;
obviously, you have a write-up bird.

Good Birding,

David Easterla
Maryville, MO.
