Got an unexpected surprise about 4pm today; one winter-plumaged Snow Bunting, accompanied by a few Horned Larks. The birds were observed on the Farley-Hampton Rd., about 100 yards east of it's intersection with Hwy. N, Platte County, MO. They were initially seen at the edge of the road, where there is exposed gravel, then they flew west (back across Hwy. N) into the stubble fields.
