Sunday morning:

Two Piping Plovers were observed at Eagle Bluffs CA.

One, as reported by Bill Goodge (bands) was in the distribution channel
across from Pool 8, seen at various times by Mike and Joyce Bathke, Tim
James, and Edge Wade. This bird was loosely associating with a small
flock of mixed birds. Between 9:45 and 10 it flew several times for
short distances, then could not be relocated.

At about 10:30 the second Piping Plover (as described by Mike Doyen--no
bands) was in the distribution channel across from the upper end of
Pool 10--in the vicinity of a large log lying in the mud (the one with
the cement block attached to the base and vegetation growing on the log
near the base).

A heavily molting Black-bellied Plover was downstream from the second
Piping Plover.
