Being a man of letters Eliot's signature is very common. His signature
appearing on books and typed letters can be had for less than $1,000.
If he wrote more than his name the value goes up.

But for someone really famous, like Jesse James, with a shorter period
of active writing and more creative spelling, a hand-written note could
be had for $4,000,000.
