Frances' post about Scissor-tails near St. Joseph makes me wonder if they
are not expanding their range. In the past, we have usually thought of them
as occurring mainly south of the Missouri River. An exception has been at
MCI airport, where I have seen a lone Scissor-tail a number of times in
recent years.

Gary Johnson and I saw a pair of Scissor-tails on the north side of Sugar
Lake May 12th. I believe I recall one or two other posts of Scissor-tails
north of the river this year.
