Heard that the West Alton boat ramp is a good place to look for shorebirds
too,
so don't forget to look there.
Yesterday a birder that stopped there saw all kinds of birds there including
the
BN STILTS, RUDDY TURNSTONES, Dowitchers, etc
Access this area by going through West Alton on Hwy 94 to Harbor Point road.
Take this road to where it ends at the water.
Probably the "Fishermen's Parking lot" along Hwy 67 on the way back to St.
Louis
(and West Alton) would be a good spot to check too. (Parking lot is lined
with large
boulders. This area is just an extension of Lincoln Shields)

Maybe the impending storms tonight will bring something else rare. :-)

Good birding,
Charlene Malone
St. Louis co.
