March 23, 2004

Just got a phone call from Dave Henness asking me to post this message
for Larry Herbert - who telephoned Dave with the information below.

Apparently, Larry Herbert stepped out of his car at a Motel in Rich
Hill, MO, and the first thing he saw was a "Rock Wren". He telephoned
Henness, who relayed the message, asking to post this to MObirds.
(Birders have unusual ways to communicate!)

Anyway, the Rock Wren was spotted late today, Tuesday, March 23, 2004.
Dave didn't get the name of the Motel. However, Rich Hill probably has
only one Motel - so do your best if you search for the bird.

Herbert will be out of town for a few days but Dave Henness might have
more to post when he gets to a computer - probably tomorrow. Sorry that
I cannot give more info on this sighting. Maybe Herbert can be phoned
at the Motel in Rich Hill, MO - which can be easily found, I'd guess.
