The news about the Rock Wren is disappointing, but don't give up hope. Dean
Rising walked around the area "for an hour" and did not see him. On Friday,
the Rogerses aarrived at about 9:30 a.m. and watched for two and a half to
two and three quarters hours before he showed up -- at about 12:15 p.m. (I
got there at noon and saw him within 15 minutes).Yesterday, he evidently
showed up quickly and often.

He will need to be out of sight for more than "an hour" before it can be
said with assurance that he is gone.
