The Postcolonial Studies Panel of the Southeast Modern Languages
Association invites abstracts for the its Annual Convention November
12-14 in Roanoke, Virginia.

This panel probes the question of whether there is such a thing as
Postcolonial Aesthetics, and if not, why?  If so, how are such
aesthetics enacted, what are the constellations of approval or
dissent which determine "postcolonial aesthetics?" Is there another
proposition, that the postcolonial can inform, but never direct

Theoretical and philosophical papers are welcome, as are specific
examples in textual, visual or auditory works.
