Looks like the MOLI (Barton County) CBC, held last Saturday, Jan. 3, 04' will check in
with about 75  + species.  Sixteen observers in six parties including long time CBC'er,
Napier Shelton, from Wash. D. C.  Good birds were:

Greater Prairie-Chicken  40
Northern Bobwhite  51

Wonderful count of raptors:

Bald Eagle  3
Northern Harrier  107
Sharp-shinned Hawk  2
Cooper's Hawk  3
Red-shouldered Hawk  1
Red-tailed Hawk  151
Rough-legged Hawk  7
American Kestrel  47
Prairie Falcon  2
Short-eared Owl  20

Other birds of note:

Eastern Phoebe  1
Loggerhead Shrike  2
Marsh Wren  3
Le Conte's Sparrow  6
Lincoln's Sparrow  1

Snow Goose  10,000 +
