Five Purple Finches were observed at Busch Conservation Area in St. Charles
County around 11:45 AM today, 1/3/04. Four females and one male.

For the location, enter Busch at the main entrance and turn left at the T
intersection. Drive past the Hampton Lake parking lot and take the left
fork near the restroom adjacent to lake 15. This road takes you past the
prairie and prairie trail. Just before the sharp left hand turn there is a
yellow sign with a left turn arrow. The Purple Finches were near this
sign on the right hand side of the road.
