I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I saw the Tundra Swan in Ellis Bay with the Trumpeter's. It was an adult bird and had both the characteristic skin shape in front of the eye and a small yellow mark on the bill.

  Riverlands EDA, St. Charles co.
Number of waterfowl have increased markedly from previous days (numbers in the low thousands?)
All the small pools were frozen therefore all the divers and puddle ducks were out in Ellis Bay.
Did count 67 (+/-) Swans but did not see the Tundra for sure due to limited time and light (was it an adult or imm bird please??)
Saw the BLACK SCOTER (imm or female) and COMMON LOON again.
Cans and goldeneye numbers have increased. Eagles increased too and they were stirring up the waterfowl and gulls.
Un-IDed and interesting raptor flew from Two Pecan trees out to Bay.
No obviously uncommon gulls seen in the gull roost.
  nothing exciting from us..........
Saw the Johnson's so maybe they have more to add to this. :-)

  Later,
  Charlene and Jim Malone
