A male Summer Tanager took a bath in the bird bath this AM - seemed late
for the male to still be around. There was a juvenile Am. Goldfinch
begging for food from the unconcerned Dad and, unlike the very fat hummer
that was mentioned, I've had a very skinny one tanking up on sugar water -
maybe a young'un that's just now made it this far south?? I've looked at
it and looked at it, but can't make it be anything but a
Ruby-throat......... Yesterday there were two juvenile Yellow-bellied
Sapsuckers chasing up and down the trees. That's about all the strangers
I've seen hanging around here this week.
