Assuming Noel stock's translation to be fairly faithful, the only possible connection is from TSE to Boris de Rachewiltz.  It is possible that Boris had read TSE and selected the Egyptian poem because of its similarity.  I have an unproven suspicion that Boris wanted very much to impress his famous daddy-in-law with his intellectual sophistication.
Boris de Rachewiltz published his Italian translations of the hieroglyphic in 1957
Noel Stock's translation is copyrighted 1962.
