Dear Peter, No can't come up with the goods. But I do have some vague association in my mind also. Even the latest accounts seem to tell the old story. Maternal grandmother (surname Junner) conceives out of wedlock probably to eldest son of her emoployer a Lawrence family not related to DH. The child of that union Sarah has TE to Thomas Lawrence who was actually the son of Sir Thomas Chapman Baronet but passed on the title in moving in with Sarah. You probably know DHL was well represented in TEL's library and Richard Aldington snipes at the little fella suggesting it must have galled him to have his father adopt the name of a major talent when he lacked same. Aldington also says TEL was one of Eliot's hollow men. So there you are not off topic entirely. I will keep an eye out anyway, but the notion seems fanciful except to the extent of those gene pool analyses which show the Celts are all proximate genetically and the Welsh in small numbers I guess most truely. As Richard Burton said "any fool can be Irish - there are only half a million Welsh".
