Just for interest's sake, Steve, AD means "anno domini," so we are
currently in "the year of our Lord," and not "post-Christian." This is why
avowed seculars among us have switched to CE and BCE. I understand your usage,
though.

I just meant
"AD", the era after Christ, as contrasted to the pagen time
("BC") in which
Virgil lived.
