I am not agreeing or disagreeing about the ID, but with all due
respect.......

In the last couple of weeks there have been spotty reports on the various
listserves of RUFOUS hummingbird sightings from Springfield, IL (male
reported by David Bohlen) and Indiana, east all the way to North Carolina.
So this species has at least making it's presence known in some areas.

Is this a normal time for Rufous hummers to be showing up that far east at
this time of year??

Just a little something to take into consideration.
