Was pretty surprised to find a WOODCOCK sitting along the river trail this
morning at Castlewood SP.See them in real early spring and then again in sept
but this is my first summer record for this bird at Castlewood.Very likely a
migrating bird
Also had a large flock of LEAST PEEPS and a YELLOWLEGS at the boat launch
beach this morning.Again, any shorebird at Castlewood besides Common Sandpiper
(which breed along the river there) snipe and solitary are way uncommon and
unusual at Castlewood
