While doing a BBS route today, I had RED-SHOULDERED HAWK and HOODED WARBLER in the Brickyard Hill area.  Those are both rare in NW Missouri.
Other noteworthy birds: Bobolinks, Vesper Sparrows, Yellow-throated Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Western Meadowlarks.

In Holt county: 
a pair of Western Kingbirds on Hwy N in Mound City
Bell's Vireo across from Mallard Marsh at the refuge
