It became evident this last weekend that not only are the restrooms in the
headquarters building at REDA, ST. Charles County, closed on weekends, but
the outside pit toilets are now closed also. This includes the ones along
Riverlands Way near Heron Pond and also the toilets at Lincoln-Shields.

An inquiry this morning revealed that the folks at REDA are under extreme
budget duress. A lot of maintenance has been cut out and they barely have
enough money to keep the staff intact. The toilets have been closed due to
lack of money to pay for their cleaning, as small an amount as this may seem
to be. They will not be reopened until more money flows to REDA for
maintenance.

The headquarters building is not being staffed at all on weekends during the
budget crunch.

Write to your congressman/woman.
