On the Blue Grosbeak Trail at Weldon Springs in St. Charles County today there were three or more Henslow's Sparrows. From the parking lot walk up the hill. Just over the hill is a large field on the left. The birds were in this field vocalizing. They could be heard and seen from the road. At Lost Valley there were the usual warblers including Kentucky, but no Worm-eating or Cerulean.

At the Fallen Oak Nature Trail a Hooded Warbler was on territory and singing constantly as he moved about. This is on the hillside just past the creek bridge. Hooded Warblers have bred here in past years.
