 Several good birds were observed by many this morning at Castlewood SP
despite the chilly start.It must be the spring peak of the WINTER WREN
migration judging by the numbers found today!
 Some highlight birds along the creek trail-
 L-WATERTHRUSH-2
 BLUE-GREY GNATCHATCHERS
 RED-SHOULDER HAWK-perched bird found by Mike Grant that gave great views
 singing RUBY-CROWNS
 GOLDEN-CROWN KINGLETS
 BROWN THRASHER
WINTER WREN-at least 12 birds
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
river trail birds- A very cooperative VESPER SPARROW gave excellent views.
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER-one bird singing
EASTERN TOWHEE
BELTED KINGFISHER- pair observed going in and out of bank side nest cavity
ROUGH-WING SWALLOWS

lots of resident bird activity-woodpeckers drumming ecspecially
