Took a quick trip to Mozingo yesterday (March, 1). Few changes there.
Nothing rare though

Bufflehead - 1
Common goldeneye - 8
Common merganser - 13
Hooded merganser - 3
Lesser scoup - 8
Mallards - 300
Wood duck - 2
Snow goose - 2 (white and blue morphs)
White-fronted goose - 25 (landed as I was watching the other waterfowl)
Canada goose - 150
Pied-billed grebe - 1

Observed interesting behavior of a female common merganser: it was
stretching the neck and swimming after the male. Is it courtship?
All male goldeneyes are displaying.
